1. From your point of view, what has been the best invention in the last years? Why?

How were things different without it? Do you think it could be improved? How? If
you could invent anything, what would it be?
Many years ago, no one could ever imagine that such a thing as the Internet would be
invented. Nowadays, life without the Internet for the most people is unimaginable. In
my opinion every invention has its time, and the Internet is the greatest invention of
our time.
Firstly, the Internet provides an enormous amount of information. Everyone can find
all types of information on millions of topics. However, this easy access to so much
information can sometimes be dangerous. For example, one primary disadvantage is
that children may get exposed to information that they aren’t supposed to access such
as pornographic materials, violent movies. The internet has also encouraged fraudsters
who benefit from innocent users who are easily deceived to give their bank details and
send money to get fake products.
Secondly, people are using the internet for communication. Today, we can initiate real-
time communication with someone who is in another part of the world in my personal
experience I use all time Zoom to communicate with my family and close friends.
Nevertheless, this way of communication can sometimes be inefficient. Face-to-face
conversation, at least in my opinion, is much better. Furthermore, a disvantage is easy
to waste a lot of time on the internet. We can start surfing, and then realize far more
time has passed than you realized. Moreover, the Internet include the access of
personal information such as our name and address by other people and clogging up of
unsolicited e-mails that serve no purpose and are unnecessary.
What could be improved is internet connectivity, in many places in our country they do
not have access and I think it is an essential tool, even more so in the time of the
pandemic, where many children and teachers could not access classes. And if I could
invent something, it would be a device that gives the Internet to the whole world,
something better than fiber optics.
I can be concluded that, there are many great inventions, every one of them important
for its time. The Internet, even with its flaws, is the most important invention of our
modern time.

Hace muchos años, nadie podía imaginar que se inventaría algo como Internet. Hoy en
día, la vida sin Internet para la mayoría de las personas es inimaginable. En mi opinión
todo invento tiene su momento, e Internet es el mayor invento de nuestro tiempo.
En primer lugar, Internet proporciona una enorme cantidad de información. Todo el
mundo puede encontrar todo tipo de información sobre millones de temas. Sin
embargo, este fácil acceso a tanta información a veces puede ser peligroso. Por
ejemplo, una de las principales desventajas es que los niños pueden verse expuestos a
información a la que se supone que no deben acceder, como materiales pornográficos
 y películas violentas. Internet también ha alentado a los estafadores que se benefician
de usuarios inocentes que son fácilmente engañados para dar sus datos bancarios y
enviar dinero para obtener productos falsos.
En segundo lugar, las personas utilizan Internet para comunicarse. Hoy, podemos
iniciar una comunicación en tiempo real con alguien que se encuentra en otra parte
del mundo. En mi experiencia personal, uso Zoom todo el tiempo para comunicarme
con mi familia y amigos cercanos. Sin embargo, esta forma de comunicación a veces
puede ser ineficiente. La conversación cara a cara, al menos en mi opinión, es mucho
mejor. Además, una desventaja es la facilidad para perder mucho tiempo en Internet.
Podemos comenzar a navegar y luego darnos cuenta de que ha pasado mucho más
tiempo del que creías. Además, Internet incluye el acceso a información personal como
nuestro nombre y dirección por parte de otras personas y la obstrucción de correos
electrónicos no solicitados que no sirven para nada y son innecesarios.
Lo que se podría mejorar es la conectividad a internet, en muchos lugares de nuestro
país no tienen acceso y creo que es una herramienta fundamental, más aún en la

clases. Y si pudiera inventar algo, sería un dispositivo que le dé Internet a todo el
mundo, algo mejor que la fibra óptica.
Puedo concluir que hay muchos grandes inventos, cada uno de ellos importante para
su época. Internet, incluso con sus fallas, es el invento más importante de nuestro
tiempo moderno.
2. Do you think life on another planet will ever be possible? Why? Why do you think
people would choose to live on another planet? Imagine you were sent to another
planet to establish a colony. What would you do first? What would your colony be
like?
The closest planets to Earth are millions of miles away, so it's very difficult to go out
and find direct evidence that there is life or not. But there are studies in which
indications or signs of life have been discovered or chemically it harbors life as we
know it here on earth, for example the planet Mars.
If we chose to live on another planet, would it be to live a new experience, get out of
the comfort zone, or because our planet is too deteriorated and destroyed to live here,
I would think it would be the second option, just like the movie Walle. But we would
probably have some difficulties adopting its atmosphere, gravity, period of day and
night, ways of feeding on another planet, it would be the greatest adventure if it goes
well.
In the event that I have to establish a colony, I would organize my group to look for a
resource or, if we have it, use it. For example, if we have seeds of some fruit, we sow
it. If we find elements to build a place to rest, we put it together, in that case I would
set work schedules. Another group perhaps to be in charge of the search or inform us
about the area to be warned. In fact, it would encourage teamwork, as well as our
ancestors the Incas who achieved great things and who are preserved until now.

químicamente alberga vida como la conocemos aquí en la tierra, por ejemplo el
planeta Marte.
Si eligieramos vivir en otro planeta, sería para vivir una nueva experiencia, salir de la
zona de confort, o porque nuestro planeta esta muy deteriorado y destruido para
poder vivir aquí, creería que sería la segunda opción, así como la película Walle. Pero
probablemente tendríamos algunas dificultades para adoptar su atmósfera, gravedad,
período de día y noche, formas de alimentarnos en otro planeta, sería la mayor
aventura si es que sale bien.
En el caso que tenga que establecer una colonia, organizaría a mi grupo para buscar
recurso o si lo tenemos utilizarlo. Por ejemplo, si tenemos semillas de algun fruto, lo
sembramos. Si encontramos elementos para construir un lugar donde descansar, lo
vamos armando, en ese caso porpondría horarios de trabajo. Otro grupo tal vez para
que se encargue de la busqueda o nos informe como es el área para estar prevenidos.
De hecho fomentaría el trabajo en equipo, asi como nuestros ancestros los incas que
lograron grandes cosas y que hasta hora se conservan.

3. What could make you love or hate a person? Do you believe in love at first sight?
What could make a person “fall in love at first sight”? Do you think that could long-
lasting? How about songs? What kinds of feelings can they inspire?
Well, on that subject of loving or hating someone. I think that to love someone there
must be attraction, admiration, respect and communication, for me those are key
pieces for me to love someone. And to hate it, I haven't, but I would think it would be
if they physically or psychologically harm someone close to me or me, I think I would, it
will depend on the magnitude of the situation.
And about the Love at first sight is solely based on what the eyes see. We are more
appealed by their physical appearances rather than their nature, attitude and
personality. Love is something that grows with time, Both of you need to know each

definitely couldn’t at first sight and probability these habits will start annoying you.
Even many songs that speak of love at first sight, confuse the feeling of love for
attraction, idealizing feelings that are not and that many believe.
So finally I can say that there is no love at first sight, but attraction at first sight.

Bueno, en ese tema de amar u odiar a alguien. Pienso que para amar a alguien debe
haber atracción, admiración, respeto y comunicación, para mí esas son piezas clave
para amar a alguien. Y para odiarlo, no lo he hecho, pero pensaría que sería si dañan
física o psicológicamente a alguien cercano a mí o a mí, creo que lo haría, dependerá
de la magnitud de la situación.
Y sobre el Amor a primera vista se basa únicamente en lo que ven los ojos. Nos atrae
más su apariencia física que su naturaleza, actitud y personalidad. El amor es algo que
crece con el tiempo, ambos necesitan conocerse de adentro hacia afuera para amarse
completamente.
“Amor a primera vista” es solo atracción física instantánea y nada más. Por ejemplo: es
como cuando vas de compras y ves un vestido, y te encanta su apariencia y diseño,
simplemente cómpralo sin pensarlo más, como lo bueno que es. la tela, la calidad, la
durabilidad. Después de un tiempo, eventualmente te cansas de ese vestido, ya no te

These phrases come from movies that in some cases were given or had scenes about
travel in time and space or on another planet, they were dialogues from the movie, full
of inspiration, dedication and lessons to live. They have been memorable because at
some point they have identified or motivated us to achieve a dream or goal and that is
why people use it, even in bad or strange times they have also said so.
In my case, many times I have used them for some situation where I needed to
motivate myself or something in a funny situation. For example, I have said "May the
force be with you" when we had to present a project and we hoped it would go well,
also when I had a problem or an error when programming we said "Houston, we have
a problem" it sounded fun but sometimes At the time we knew it was something
serious. Another phrase that I have used was “To infinity and beyond” when I say I love
you to my mom or if I have a dream in mind and I use it to motivate myself, believe I
will achieve it and go far.
I remember a phrase from one of my favorite Disney movies, Mulan, the phrase is "Be
YOUR best, despite the odds", which means to try your best, regardless of the

Estas frases provienen de películas que en algunos casos se dieron o tuvieron escenas
sobre viajes en el tiempo y el espacio o en otro planeta, fueron diálogos de la película,
llenos de inspiración, dedicación y lecciones para vivir. Han sido memorables porque
en algún momento nos han identificado o motivado para alcanzar un sueño u objetivo
y es por ello que las personas lo usan, incluso en momentos malos o extraños también
lo han dicho.

En mi caso, muchas veces las he usado por alguna situación en la que necesitaba
motivarme o algo en una situación graciosa. Por ejemplo he dicho "May the force be
with you" cuando teníamos que presentar un proyecto y esperabamos que nos vaya
bien, también cuando tenía un problema o un error al momento de programar
decíamos “Houston, we have a problem” sonadaba divertido pero a la vez sabíamos
que era algo serio. Otra frase que he usado fue “To infinity and beyond” cuando le digo
te quiero a mi mamá o si tengo un sueño en mente y lo uso para motivarme, creer lo
lograré y llegaré muy lejos.
Recuerdo una frase de una de mis películas favoritas de Disney, Mulán, la frase es "Sé
TU mejor, a pesar de las probabilidades", que quiere decir para esforzarte al máximo,
independientemente de las luchas que enfrentes y los obstáculos en tu camino. Haz lo
mejor que puedas y sé lo mejor posible.
Finalmente pienso que una pelicula es muy buena y te marca, es cuando tiene un buen
guión, fotografía, dirección y edición, pero sobre todo si tiene un buen mensaje o
frases memorables.
5. What could make a birthday the best ever? Have you already, had it? When? Why
was it the best ever? If not, how do you imagine your best birthday would be or how
would you like it to be? Why do people like celebrating their birthdays?

example, some is to go on a trip, spend it in another place with your family, friends or

something simple like a small meeting.
In my case, the best of all is to share with my family and friends on that day. Although I
always had a good time with it, but I can say that I had the best birthday ever two

birthday. Since we were in pandemic times and there were no social gatherings, it was

cumpleaños?
Para que sea el mejor de todos va a depender de que cosas valora la persona; por
ejemplo, algunos es irse de viaje, pasarla en otro lugar con su familia, amigos o incluso
solos; en otros casos es hacer una gran fiesta con mucha comida y tragos o algo
sencillo como una pequeña reunión.
En mi caso el mejor de todos es compartir con mi familia y amigos en ese día. Aunque
siempre la pasado con ello, pero ¡Puedo decir que tuve el mejor cumpleaños de todos
hace dos años! (si! en época de pandemia) Porque estuvieron gran parte de personas
que yo aprecio y quiero mucho, fue un cumpleaños sorpresa, curioso y especial. Como
estábamos en época de pandemia y no se hacían reuniones sociales fue virtual y los
únicos que estaban presencial fueron mis papás y mis perritos, pero sentí que estaban
a mi lado todos los invitados.
Quién se encargó de organizarlo fue mi mamá con mi mejor amiga, se conectó toda mi
familia y amigos que incluso no veía hace tiempo. Mi mamá contrató un grupo para
que animara mi cumpleaños y cuando terminó esa parte, empezamos a conversar y
conectar muchas anécdotas que teníamos y que algunos no sabían, fue muy divertido
y gracioso. Y claro, no faltó mi torta de chocolate, la temática fue: yo con mis perritos,
soy una amante de los perros y amo el chocolate.
Por eso puedo decir, que la pandemia tuvo muchas cosas malas, pero también buenas,
una de ellas fue este momento, el internet ayudó a que estuviera cerca virtualmente
de mis seres queridos y que compartieran ese día tan especial para mí.
Finalmente, pienso que muchas personas les gusta festejar su cumpleaños, porque es
un año más de vida y que los motiva a seguir creciendo y cumpliendo sus sueños, para
que luego cuenten todas esas experiencias a sus generaciones que vienen.
