HOW HARDSHIPS CHANGE ME

During this time of the pandemic, there are a lot of negative things that are happening, I myself is
experiencing this until now. A global pandemic, dramatic changes to how we conduct our daily
lives, as well as an array of natural disasters were being experienced by all of us. For many of us,
this is a time of unprecedented struggle and upheaval. A lot of people suffer through hardships
given by these wherein others give up, whilst others keep on fighting. I’m part of the people that
keeps on fighting as I have focused on aiming my goal and always reminding myself that the
hardships I’m in right now will pass. With all my experiences, I am proud of having the courage
and strength to conquer the challenges I have faced and I’m about to face as I build myself
resilience.
I have been through different hardships in the past months. I have experienced being
flooded by a slew of difficult, conflicting emotions, and being uncertain about how to move on
with my life. there are times I have felt like giving up because I really can’t handle my situation
but as days pass by, I always be reflecting on myself, convincing myself I have gone far and
allowing myself to adapt to the changes I have felt and learned during times of hardships. While
there’s no way to avoid sorrow, adversity, and distress in life, there are ways to cope up with it
and resolve it. People around me contributed to helping me themselves to keep on fighting as
they giving me the care I needed. With all these pains, sorrows, failures, and anxieties I was able
to survive and build resilience.

Through the experiences I have been through, I learned that nothing is permanent in this
world, everything will pass by, and Committing ourselves to the Lord is a must because he
helped me survive my hardships. We all go through bad times, we all experience disappointment,
failures, changes, and we all feel sad, anxious, and stressed at various times in our lives. But
building resilience can help us to maintain a positive outlook, face an uncertain future with less
fear, and get through even the darkest days. We need to know and remind ourselves that
everything is going to be okay and everything will be in the right places as long as we believe in
ourselves and trust the Lord’s plan as we commit ourselves to Him. Lastly, I have that it is okay
not to be okay.
