Functions of charge air:


To take part in combustion, Fresh air is supplied inside a cylinder prior to compression.
The air must be clean and enough oxidized for the sake of proper combustion.

Air compression ratio: 16:1


Air fuel ratio: 14:1
Air temperature charge air filter inlet: 27 degree
Charge air temperature engine inlet: 51 degree
Charge air pressure engine inlet: 2.8 bar
Charge air differential pressure : 450 KPa
Exhaust gas avg temp: 410 degree
Exhaust gas temp. Cylinder outlet avg: 415 degree
Exhaust gas TC inlet temp: 550 degree
Exhaust gas TC outlet temp: 400 degree
Turbocharger avg. RPM: 18000 rpm
EGB present in engines : 1,4,8,10,15,18
