“BLUE ACCESORIOS”

1 ABSTRACT

This project focuses on generating an innovation proposal for the accessories production line of

the “Blue Accesorios” enterprise. In order to offer consumers products suitable for canines and

felines, focusing on two fundamental points to satisfy the needs of consumers; The first of these is

related to the quality of the product, for which special care is taken with the selection of production

materials, in the characteristics of high resistance and durability, which will allow creating

confidence in the product in the consumer's min. Another fundamental point is the creativity in the

designs for both the animals and their owners.

“Blue accessories” has as a priority to support the adoption of dogs and cats, with the purpose of

contributing to the improvement of their quality of life. For which, it is vitally important to implant

in the mentality of people the need to respect animals, with which the number of homeless dogs

and their proliferation in an uncontrolled and unhealthy way could be reduced by a high

percentage.

Using statistical control as a tool that helps in decision making and facilitates the process of

constant improvement of an organization.

2 DESCRIPTION

In the last decade the market regarding pets has increased significantly, the food sector has been

the most involved and the one that has generated the most profits in the market, but today pet

owners (canines and felines) not only They care about their good nutrition, their cleanliness and

their care. They also care about their style and making them look perfect and fashionable.

As time goes by, canines and felines take on an important role within the family nucleus, their

owners share special dates with them, making them one more member of the family, for this reason

for those animal lovers, to be able to have details with them on special dates they are of the utmost

importance. In addition, it should be noted that the presence of masconas increased with the arrival

of the pandemic and thanks to this, an expansion in the market was generated. According to sources

such as El País, América Retail, El Tiempo, Semana, Portafolio in the last 5 years, this market in

Colombia has grown by 84.9%.

That said, with the growth of the pet market and the non-exploitation of the accessories market

that satisfy the taste and use of these to the consumer, we have seen the need to create products for

these animals considered as family.

In the market it can be found that most of the people and companies that offer these accessories do

not take into account a good control and management of orders and orders to start manufacturing.

The foregoing lies in a planning stage, it is essential to have an order in this aspect to avoid delays

and confusion. By not integrating a system to have an order, it will not be possible to adequately

calculate how many materials or supplies are needed, what they cost and if they exist in your

inventory.

3 OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

3.1 General objective

Design and implement a production line of accessories for canines and felines where they can

combine them with their masters.

3.2 Specific objectives

• Create a mathematical model on the transport and allocation of the product in the production line

• Apply statistical process control tools in a real production system.

• Plan a productive system for the improvement of the real process.

• Apply financial tools that allow the diagnosis and evaluation of the project.

• Investigate the consumer's level of satisfaction with the product and suggestions that impact the

production line

4 JUSTIFICATION

We are in a very large market for pet products and accessories, which are even more expensive

than the accessories used by people. Andrés Vargas project manager of ExpoPet Colombia 2016

(Holguin, 2016) mentions that a person may be spending an average of $300,000 per month on

food, $100,000 on the doctor, $300,000 on hairdressing - spa and $150,000 on products1. Due to

the high demand in the market, high quality products must be manufactured, taking into account

tastes, fashion and the costs that these imply.

The importance of this project lies in the direct analysis and evaluation through statistical controls

of the “Blue Accesorios” production line, continuously standardizing the characteristics of our

products and efficiently measuring failures and/or errors so that they do not To present themselves.

In addition, the project was initially developed taking into account the aspects of great importance

for the pet sector, in terms of requirements, positioning and growth projection in the following

years.

Subsequently, a study of the needs of consumers regarding their behavior in purchasing items for

their pet and their preferences was carried out, this was achieved through several analyzes in which

it is evident that through various statistical tools you can achieve u Create a production line in

which Blue Accesorios enhances its development, taking into account customers and suppliers.
