Fisherman rescued off Hinoba-an

Missing for several days, a Negros Occidental fisherman was rescued by maritime
authorities in the waters off Hinoba-an, Rod Vega reported Sunday on Super Radyo
dzBB.

Citing information from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the report said 47-year-
old fisherman Feb Cayao was rescued by PCG Sub-Station Hinoba-an, Philippine
National Police-Maritime Group, and Bantay Dagat Hinoba-an personnel last Friday-
September 16.

Cayao, a resident of Barangay Asya, had sailed out to fish but failed to return home as
his motorbanca had engine trouble due to rough seas.

The fisherman was brought safely home to his relatives.

The search and rescue team towed the distressed motorobanca to the nearest
shoreline.
