The Release Of CO2 Into
The Atmosphere:

CO2 is produced during the

Carbon complete combustion of

fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are
used to produce electricity
Dioxide, and are bases of many forms
of transports. Eg: Methane

Methane & (Natural Gas) produces

carbon dioxide when burnt
in a plentiful supply of
Climate oxygen:

Change.
Methane + Oxygen = Carbon Dioxide + Water

CH4 + 2O2 = CO2 + 2H20

The Release Of Methane:

Methane is a greenhouse gas with levels in
the atmosphere increasing over recent
years. Main reasons of rising levels of
methane are increased cattle farming and
waste generation by over population.
Cattles emit large amounts of methane as
part of their metabolic reactions. A single
cow can produce over 1000 times the mass
of methane compared with a human.
CLIMATE CHANGE

The release of greenhouse gasses and

other dangerous gasses has effected our
atmosphere causing a change in climate.
The increase in temperature has caused
quicker rates of melting of the Earths ice
caps and glaciers. This has lead to rising
sea levels, floods and faster rates of
coastal erosion.

Greenhouse effect is the natural

phenomenon in which thermal energy
(heat) from the sun is 'trapped' at the
Earths surface by certain gases in the
atmosphere (greenhouse gases).
