1. What is EMS in your personal perspective?


- It is a collection of procedures and methods that provide a company the ability to lessen
its environmental footprint and improve operational effectiveness. Furthermore, it serves
as a framework for a business to continuously examine, assess, and enhance its
environmental performance in order to accomplish its environmental goals.

2. Discuss briefly the benefits of EMS.


- It enhanced image with public, regulators, lenders, investors. Prevention of pollution,
enhanced compliance, improved environmental performance, resource conversation,
increased efficiency and reduced costs.

3. Brief description of ISO 14001


- The specifications for an environmental management system are outlined in an
international standard. Through more effective resource utilization and waste reduction,
it aids companies in improving their environmental performance, giving them a
competitive edge and the confidence of stakeholders.

4. Discuss the ISO 14001 EMS model


- The organization adopts an environmental policy first, then utilizes that policy as the
foundation for creating a plan that identifies goals and targets for enhancing
environmental performance. Implementation is the subsequent phase. The organization
then assesses its environmental performance to see whether the goals and targets have
been reached. Corrective action is conducted if objectives are not fulfilled. Top
management then reviews the evaluation's findings to determine how well the EMS is
doing.

5. How EMS important in Operation Management?


- It is a strategic policy tool that may assist a company in adhering to environmental
legislation, better managing energy and other resources, lowering environmental tax
burdens, and enhancing overall corporate performance. Additionally, it helps a
company to improve operational efficiency and lessen its environmental effect.
