The List of Eligible Academic Qualifications for

Certification of BIM Managers

Academic qualifications possessed by applicants which fulfil requirement (A) AND


(B) are considered eligible for the certification scheme.

Requirement (A) Programme areas that are considered relevant to the

Requirement (B) Programme that falls into one of the following categories:

1. Recognised or accredited courses from Professional Bodies

i. HKIE
ii. HKIS
iii. HKIA
iv. Washington Accord (Engineering)
v. The Canberra Accord (Architecture)
2. Relevant Bachelor Degrees or above awarded by HKU, CUHK,
HKUST, PolyU, CityU, BU, Lingnan, EduHK, OUHK and their
continuing education units.
3. Relevant Bachelor Degrees or above awarded by the following
degree-awarding higher education institutions listed under
Education Bureau:
i. Caritas Institute of Higher Education
ii. Centennial College
iii. Chu Hai College of Higher Education
iv. Gratia Christian College
v. HKCT Institute of Higher Education
vi. Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
vii. Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education
viii. Hong Kong Shue Yan University
ix. Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong
x. The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
xi. Tung Wah College

6. If a relevant programme (i.e. construction related) cannot be found


from the lists given in (1) to (5) above, the applicant will need to
provide evidence of independent assessment on the degree, e.g. by
the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and
Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).
