CEO’s Greetings
Dear Stakeholders,
Please accept my gratitude for your support and encouragement over the past year.
In 2021, we were faced with a difficult management environment caused by the prolongation of the COVID-19 pandemic
and various issues in the global supply chain. Despite the circumstances, LG Innotek achieved record-high management
performance through the effort to provide differentiated customer value and improve profit structure.
For our Optics Solution and Substrate Business, we solidified our global No. 1 position by accelerating growth based on
the timely development of products needed by customers and preemptive investment expansion. As for the Automotive
Components Business, we are putting forth effort to dominate the autonomous driving solution and electric vehicle
market; for the Electronic Components business, we prepared a foundation for profitability improvement through
activities to improve the business structure centering on value-added products.
To achieve sustainable growth and development with stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and local communities,
instead of being content with current achievements, LG Innotek is committed to practicing substantial ESG management
by establishing the following ESG promotion strategies:
First, we will promote substantial ESG management that will lead to the creation of new business strategies and outcomes.
We will promote substantial ESG management by establishing ESG strategies which consider our business environment
and the characteristics of material/components business, and deriving tasks that can lead to improvement in our business
competitiveness and management outcomes.
Second, we will promote ESG management with a focus on key tasks based on choice and concentration and with
consideration given to our resources and capacities.
While performing a balance of activities in environmental, social, and governance areas, we will prioritize tasks within each
area according to the principles of importance and urgency and promote the tasks in phases.
In particular, we will preferentially promote climate change response, which is emerging as the most urgent and important
task. As part of the effort, in March 2022 we declared our goal of achieving net-zero carbon by 2040, and we are focusing our
organizational competencies on fulfilling this goal.
Third, we will strengthen our ESG management implementation power by internalizing the ESG organizational culture.
Beyond managing risk, ESG management is being recognized as an indispensable element of corporate competitiveness,
required for a company to be selected by customers. Accordingly, we will bolster our execution power for ESG activities
by establishing an ESG culture based on continued education and campaigns and reflecting ESG elements to key
decision-making processes and management activities.
At the same time, we will dedicate every effort to achieving the sustainable growth of our business, such as by increasing
corporate value based on qualitative growth, securing future growth engine through R&D innovation, and reinventing
the way we work based on DX (Digital Transformation) in order to solidify our position as an ESG leading company in the
materials and components industry.
Thank you.

Environmental Analysis
In 2021, as the impact of COVID-19 was eased and major countries lifted their lockdown
policy, demand showed a gradual recovery trend. Although the recovery trend is expected
to be heightened in 2022 as quarantine measures are further relaxed, economic uncertainty
is amplifying due to the situation between Russia and Ukraine, monetary tightening,
economic stagnation in China, etc. In addition, the frequent supply disruptions such as
for raw materials, logistics, and semiconductor are expected to pose a risk to our busi-
ness growth.
Meanwhile, in the era of technological hegemony, the establishment of an innovative Key Performances (2021)
ecosystem to lead technological innovation is forecast to accelerate. Accordingly, materials

Operating DX Tasks
In 2022, we will inspect the progresses of DX task execution each quarter and hold a DX Task assessment and award event led by
the CEO at the end of the year. For the selection of a success case, DX tasks are evaluated on the basis of their “Ripple Effect” and

Governance
With responsible investment based on ESG internalization becoming a universal
trend and global financial institutions recognizing ESG as the future value of
businesses, transparent ESG information disclosure is required.

from 2025, non-financial information disclosure has been established as an
essential element. Accordingly, LG Innotek aims to establish sound governance
by securing the independence and expertise of the Board of Directors (BOD)
to ensure transparent information disclosure and establishing subcommittees
