" - David lannicelli (Class of '23) ACADEMIC SUCCESS + New Hip-Hop Production classes are for students with an interest in or curiosity about Hip-Hop music. The main purpose of the course is to create original Hip-Hop music (both lyrics and beats}. Students use and learn about loop-based software on their iPad and/or a computer to create and sample beats. Students will also explore Hip-Hop origins, current Hip-Hop music, Hip-Hop culture (graffiti art, beatboxing, and break dancing}, as well as Hip-Hop's impact on society and social issues. Students do not need any experience or background in Hip-Hop music to take this course. + Sludents with no experience can choose 'Choit’ or ‘Guitar’ when choosing classes. + Students in music score higher on standardized testing.
