High-Speed Controller-to-PC Communication and
Easy Peer to Peer Communication
The YS-net is a high-speed communication network developed specifically
for the YS100 series. It can handle communication of as fast as approximately
78 kbps. Data are transmitted in approximately one second when 16 control-
lers in the YS100 Series are connected to a PC.
You can exchange data between YS170 controllers or between a YS100 and a
PC, without having to make complex settings. What's more, you can easily
add or change the controllers connected to the network.

Peer to Peer
Communication
Data transmitting/receiving Data receiving
This communication mode allows YS170
controllers to communicate with each other
via the YS-net. This is useful for complex YS-net
control computation that requires a greater
number of I/O signals.

Using Windows-based spreadsheet soft-

as well as a simple procedure (setup of a
DDE data exchange interface), you can
achieve high-speed communication, which
is particularly useful for:
・Daily/monthly reporting using
spreadsheet software
・PC-based computing system using an YS-net
operation and monitoring software package P C
Furthermore, you can carry out communi-
cation between YS170 controllers while the YS100 series
controllers are concurrently communicating controllers up to 16
