No Foam is used in water-based drilling fluids and brines for removing trapped gas and air.

APPLICATION
No Foam is a liquid surface active agent that is highly effective in removing trapped gas and air from all
water base mud systems.
The recommended treatment when foaming occurs is 2 gallons No Foam for every 100 bbls of fluid.
Higher concentrations may be required if the foaming problem persists.
No Foam is a blend of alcohols containing 98% active contents. The odor of No Foam is due to
hydrocarbons and traces of carbonyl impurities. No Foam is stable in drilling fluids up to 250°F (120°C).
No Foam is supplied in 5 gal (19 lt) cans and 55 gal (208 lt) steel drums. Contents valid for 2 years from
manufacturing date on the drum.
HSE
No Foam is not classified as hazardous, but it may be an irritant. The following safety wear, as
recommended in the MSDS, should be used when mixing No Foam:
- Standard PPE
- Chemical Splash Goggles or Face Shield
