0 EVENT PURPOSE
The Afro rave festival is yearly, happening every December in Bolgatanga. This year’s edition is the
fifth. The purpose of the event is to create an environment where Ghanaian culture is exhibited and
plant a sense of cultural exchange between locals and foreigners.

2.0 EVENT STRUCTURE

2.1 Road to Afro Rave Festival (Documentary)

A short video would be created showcasing tourist sites within the region. This will attract more
foreigners to the event and provide content for social media posts. The list of locations selected is
listed below

1. Navrongo/Paga
2. Bawku
3. Bolagtanga/Tongo/Bongo
4. Sandema

2.2 Afro Rave Festival

The date for the event is the 27 th of December 2022 at the Akayet hotel, Bolgatanga. The slated time
for the event to commerce is at 8 pm. The first two hours is an art display, where artist from the
region and beyond display their works. There would also be a cultural dance display a contemporary
2-string guitar performance by a popular local musician. Meanwhile, Photoshoot sessions would be
happening concurrently. After which, the event would continue with great music where people
socialize and build networks over some local delicacies.
