scribd is shit.

Mason J. Dreyfus "It's a question of being right and being wrong. What is the
definition of the right to bear arms?" Rep. Tom Davis, R-Nev., wrote in a
statement. "I think that these types of crimes are inherently problematic because
they're not based on anything I can see and don't know."

It does look to me, of course, that someone, probably a gun enthusiast or a "gun
enthusiast," would be upset about the idea that a civilian could go to a gun store
and get a Sig Sauer M9 "assault rifle" when it comes to a civilian who might
otherwise be carrying a gun in a designated "safe and secure" location where we
know and trust them or would simply wish they would have gone and been safer. There
are also people who simply don't want their "real" weapons at all to be stored by
private collectors who might otherwise be using handguns in a lawful manner.

On the other hand, those of us who have gone to private gun shows have learned
enough about this law to be appalled by the idea that our real weapons would be
protected at all, with the exception of a semiautomatic rifle, and would not be
"sporting" in the normal sense of the word – the American Constitution and the
Second Amendment. It means that even when people carry military-style weapons, we
are not automatically carrying their real weapons.
