NOTICE

Weight information is printed on a label attached to the shipping container or to the Dryer.

WARNING

Do not lift heavy objects without proper lifting equipment (i.e., crane, hoist, slings or fork truck). Lifting the unit
without proper lifting equipment may cause serious injury. Use fork lift channels where provided.

„„ STORAGE
•• If not in use, store the Dryer in its packaging in a dust free under roof and protected site between 32 °F (0 °C) and
120 °F (50 °C), and a specific humidity not more than 90%.
•• If the stocking time is more than 12 months, please contact your nearest local Ingersoll Rand office or approved distributor.

„„ ELECTRICAL
General Requirements
•• Only approved electrician can do the electrical installation procedure.

NOTICE

The owner/electrical contractor must size the feeder cables to ensure that the circuit is balanced and not overloaded
by other electrical equipment.

•• Read the wiring diagram before connecting the cables.

•• Connect the Dryer only to electrical systems that are compatible with its electrical characteristics and that are within its
rated capacity. Do not connect to an electrical supply of incorrect voltage and/or frequency.
•• Install a main line disconnect switch on the incoming line. The Dryer is not equipped with an electrical disconnecting device.
The owner is responsible for the design and installation of disconnect, over voltage, short circuit and overload protection.
•• Make sure that a circuit breaker or fuse safety switch is provided in the electrical supply line leading to the Dryer.

„„ GROUNDING

WARNING

General Safety!

•• Make sure that the Dryer is connected to a grounded, metallic, permanent wiring system or an equipment-grounding
terminal or lead. Improper grounding can result in electrical shock and can cause severe injury or death.
•• Provide suitable grounds, clearance and lightning arrestors for all electrical components.
•• Check grounding connections after initial installation and periodically thereafter and make sure that there is a good contact
and continuity.

„„ PIPEWORK
System Design
•• The owner is responsible for ensuring that applicable service pipe work is installed to and from the Dryer.

•• Make sure that the pre-filter and postfilters are installed in the air inlet/outlet supply line to prevent liquid water and oil
aerosols to enter the dryer colomns and to prevent dust to be distributed downstream of the dryer.
•• Provide external support to the piping.
Materials of Construction
•• Make sure that all the components, accessories and pipe work added to the Dryer inlet and discharge are suitable for the
Dryer’s vibration, pulsations, temperature and maximum pressure applied.
•• Make sure that there is a proper corrosion resistance and chemical resistance for the pipe work.

SAFETY INFORMATION - WHEN SERVICING THE PRODUCT

WARNING

Make sure that all the activities involving operation of the Dryer comply with all applicable codes, laws, regulations,
standards and specifications (local, state, country, federal, etc.).

„„ PERSONNEL
•• The Dryer product information manual and maintenance manual contains instructions and technical data to cover all
routine operation and scheduled maintenance tasks. Major overhauls are outside the scope of the Dryer instruction manual
and should be referred to an approved Ingersoll Rand service provider.
•• Only approved maintenance personnel can do the maintenance procedure.

„„ BEFORE PERFORMING MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Lockout / Tagout!
Follow the precautions to prevent the possibility of power supply to the Dryer during maintenance work is in
progress. Lockout / tagout the power supply and display warning signs indicating maintenance work is in progress.

•• Disconnect the main electrical power line.

•• Disconnect separate control lines.
•• Isolate all residual electrical power sources (mains and battery).
•• Make sure that all the air pressure is fully discharged and isolated from the system.
•• Obey the precautions to prevent the possibility of applying power to the Dryer when maintenance work is in progress.
Lockout/ tag out the power supply and display warning signs indicating that maintenance work is in progress.

„„ DURING MAINTENANCE
•• Repair only in the area that has good airflow, light and is clean and dry.
•• Do not make modifications, additions or conversions which might affect safety without the approval of Ingersoll Rand.
This also applies to the installation and adjustment of safety devices and valves as well as to welding work on load-bearing
components.
•• During maintenance and when making repairs, keep dirt away from parts by covering parts and exposed openings with
clean cloth or paper.
•• Use applicable equipment for lifting heavy objects. Make sure that the loose components are properly supported to avoid
the risk of fall.
•• Do not use flammable or volatile liquids such as kerosene, diesel or jet fuel for cleaning or degreasing. Use a nonflammable,
non-conductive, safety solvent cleaner and degreaser designed for industrial cleaning. Obey the manufacturer’s
instructions. Use safety solvents in a well ventilated area and always use the applicable personal protective equipment.
•• Open condensate valves slowly as condensate may be discharged at high pressures. Wear hearing protection when opening
the valves.
•• Keep all parts of the body and hand-held tools or other conductive objects, away from exposed live parts of the Dryer
electrical system.
•• Maintain dry footing, stand on insulating surfaces and do not contact other portion of the Dryer when making adjustments
or repairs to exposed live parts of the Dryer electrical system.
•• Wear personal protective equipment applicable to the voltage present while servicing the live electrical systems.
•• Make sure that all the access doors are closed safely when the Dryer is not monitored.
