The car will be unable to stop at some point. A vehicle's brakes are completely reliant on
friction, and if friction is absent, the car cannot turn, as turning is often reliant on the use of
frictional force as a centripetal force.

A.
1. The air drag that opposes the motion of a sheet of paper falling freely under gravity. As
a result, the net force on the sheet equals the weight less the dragging force due to air.
When the pulling force equals the weight of the paper cover, there is no net force acting
on it. As a result, it sinks at a constant speed known as terminal velocity.
2. Rough surfaces generate more friction, which causes heat, which softens the material,
causing it to wear out more quickly than smooth surfaces.
3. Friction often operates in the opposite direction of motion. It balances out and cancels
out some of the motion-causing force. The traveling target loses energy and speeds
down as a result.
B.
1. The parachute is pushed down by gravity, but air pressure pressing up on the
parachute's flat surface allows it to fall slower to the ground.
2. The speed at which a rocket can travel would give it an advantage in avoiding the earth's
gravitational force, which will otherwise cause the rocket to crash to the ground. The
rocket speed of 25 000 mph is sufficient for the rocket ship to lift off and achieve a
thrust greater than that of gravity on Earth.
