• PAST SIMPLE
¿Cómo se forma?
Dependiendo de si el verbo es regular o irregular, el past simple se
va a formar de una forma u otra.
Regular: añadimos -ED, _IED (si acaba en consonante + y), -D (si el
verbo ya acaba en -e)
Irregular: 2ª columna, los que nos aprendemos de memoria
• PAST CONTINUOUS
¿Cómo se forma?
Necesitamos el verbo to be en pasado (was,were) y un verbo acabado en -ing
• WHILE-WHEN
La partícula WHILE es una palabra que utilizamos en inglés y que nos va a
ayudar a distinguir entre past simple y past continuous. Significa “mientras” y
vamos a ponerlo delante del verbo que esté en past continuous. Por ejemplo:
- The phone rang while I was studying.
El teléfono sonó mientras yo estaba estudiando.
La partícula WHEN es una palabra que utilizamos en inglés y que nos va a
ayudar a distinguir entre past simple y past continuous. Significa “cuando” y
vamos a ponerlo delante del verbo que esté en past simple. Por ejemplo:
- The phone was ringing when I arrived.
El teléfono estaba sonando cuando yo llegué.
