SUSPENSION OF CLASSES

DUE TO THE AMID SPIKE IN THE NUMBER OF INCREASING CASES OF COVID-19,
UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT ANNOUNCED THE SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN ALL
THE EVSU CAMPUSES AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE FOR THE SAFETY OF
EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS FROM MARCH 13-20.

NEWS STORY
Because of the increasing cases of People Under Monitoring (PUM), Investigation (PUI),
those who undergo Quarantine and the alarming number of Deaths in our country, the
University President of all EVSU Campuses, Doctor of Philosophy Dominador O. Aguirre Jr.
suspends the classes from March 13 to 20 to assure the safety of all the campus staff and
students. Further announcement of the availability of new schedules will follow upon the
issuance of written memorandum from the University President.
Upon the declaration of classes, President Rodrigo Duterte announced the suspension of
classes in all levels in Metro Manila from March 10-14. Duterte, however, said that even
during the class suspension, students should review their lessons at home. Secretary of
Education, Briones, has insisted that they would stay home but study.
To prevent and fight against this deadly virus, LGU’s and NGU’s are doing their best to help
and keep everyone safe from this pandemic. No one knows when this will be terminated but
government, private agencies so as the medical teams assured everyone that every day, there
is an improvement.
