4 Dose Zone HN

Above are the four dose zones and an axial, coronal, and sagittal view of how they relate to each other. I used three full arcs with 6 MV and 15-
degree collimator rotation.
The field size for each arc initially exceeded our allowed X field size of 14.8 cm. For arc 1 and 2, I left the largest jaw open (X1) to include the PTV
and subtracted the smaller jaw (X2) until the total field size equaled 14.8 cm. Then for arc 3 (because it opposes arc 1), I made the X1 the size of
X2 from arc 1 and the X2 jaw from arc 3 the same as X1 from arc 1. This is the standard protocol at my site for arcs with field sizes that exceed
14.8 cm.
I used a moderate aperture shape controller because I was trying to avoid many structures like the cord, parotids, mandible, brachial plexus,
larynx, esophagus, and more. I also had a hair sparing constraint, this patient was only in their 30s so any hair sparing I could give them, I know
would be greatly appreciated.
Below is our dose constraint template in ClearCheck.
