Ans: Factories should be set away from the historical monuments because they pollute and
damage the monument.

Ans: Every colony must have a park so that the children of the colony can play and the people
can take a walk .

Q1. Why should we take care of public property?

Ans: We must take care of the public property like road, hospital etc. because public property
are used by everyone and maintained by the tax money paid by the people.

Q2. It is our duty to maintain the beauty of park. How can we do it?
Ans: i. We should plant more and more trees in and around the park.
ii. We must not litter the park with garbage. iii. We must not pluck the
flowers or destroy the grass and plants.

Q3. Why and how can we protect our historical monuments?

Ans: We must protect our historical monuments because they are our heritage buildings and
symbols of glorious past.
We can protect them by keeping their premises clean, never write and scratch on their walls, by
keeping polluters away from them and by creating awareness campaigns to save these
monuments.

Q4. Write three ways in which you can take care of your school property.
Ans: i) We must not cause any damage to the things in our classroom like desk, blackboard etc.
ii) We must throw litter in the dustbins.
iii. We must maintain the library and library books neatly.
