CAREER OBJECTIVES

across all gender while enhancing my career competitively.

SKILLS

Computer Literacy: Having trained at the University and IT Vision College, I am proficient in
Microsoft Office processors such as MS Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint
(Advanced). Software such as STATA (Advanced), SAS/SAP, and SPSS (AMOS) SPSS (Advanced),
and R-Program (Advanced), MATLAB (Intermediate).

Data Analysis, Writing, Data Entry and Documentation: Has been a quality and quantity writer
and able to write very fast within the set parameters and time limitations; presenting well
researched documents. Works with little if any supervision to meet the set timeline without
failure.

Research, Analytical and Reporting Skills: Added to the training required from IED I can research
on a number of topics and issues and critically analyze these issues and come up with well
written reports able to present the real situation on the subject matter under study.
Entrepreneurship: I have attended a number of entrepreneurship based skills training sessions
organized by development organizations in Kisumu, Siaya and Homa-Bay and thus have earned
both poultry keeping and maize farming skills and currently I am keeping poultry. This has
enhanced my skills in small scale business management.

Guidance and Counseling: Been trained by Plan International and AMREF on various skills on
guidance and counseling especially on HIV/AIDS, peer to peer and conducting of referrals to
clients who need further support for better medical care.

Leadership, Organizational and Team Building: Contributed to the pioneering of i-motivate (a


leadership cultivation hub) at Laikipia University, Nyahururu. A member of both Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (ICPAK), Kenya and Laikipia University Accounting and Finance
Association. Led various groups at the university during both academic and fieldwork. All these
enhance my ability to work with others as a team to realize a mission.

EXPERIENCE
2019 – 2019: Okwirry Odhiambo Associates and Tax Consultants Co. Ltd, Nbi
Companies Accountant and Tax Consultant Assistant
Reporting to Executive Director Responsibilities
• General accounting (receipts and expenditure), data entry and recording keeping of
all clients; follow on due dates and sending out of memos and reminders for the
statutory requirement to our clients.
• Tax computation, compilation and submission to Kenya Revenue Authority on behalf
clients and payment of respective dues, negotiation and advice to clients on tax
related matters.
• Advising and educating clients on the impacts and incidences of taxes so as to avoid
unwarranted fines and penalties arising from late avoidance and evasions. To such
extent we have been able to improve collectively both tax collection targets and at the
same time reduce losses in business to clients.
• Collection of dues and payments from clients, payment of our creditors and
coordinating internal office activities for efficient and effective operations.

• Researching on various issues/topics/ assignments/tasks including economics,
