questions and concerns
3) Deficient Diversional Activity related to modified bed rest as witnessed by patient`s statement of
boredom
4) Impaired skin integrity related to episiotomy secondary to vaginal delivery
5) Risk for infection related to loss of protective barrier as evidence by positive ferns test
6) Risk for Deficit Fluid Volume related to continuous leaking per vagina manifested by dry
mouth and dry skin
7) Risk For (Maternal) Injury related to induction of labor secondary to use of intravenous
oxytocin
8) Disturbed body image related to pregnancy as verbalized by patient’s distress to sudden
increase in weight gain, presence of pimples, and stretchmarks.
9) Risk for disturbed Maternal/Fetal Dyad related to complication of pregnancy as
evidence by inability to carry pregnancy to term
10) READINESS FOR ENHANCED FAMILY PROCESSES related to acceptance of the newborn to the
family as manifested by SOs reinforcement and support for the patient and the baby, and
patient’s claim that she is fulfilled with her baby.
