What would you do to stop or at least minimize the case of bullying in school?

Bullies shouldn't just be given punishment, I believe that they should be given

punishment suitable for their actions. Bullying incidents are often undermined due to the

school's not wanting a bad reputation. And because of this flaw in the school system,

victims tend to not report these incidents. And herein lies the problem: the effects of

bullying have serious and lasting negative impacts on our mental health. Bullying can

cause feelings of rejection, exclusion, isolation, low self-esteem, and some individuals

can develop depression and anxiety as a result. Being bullied at a young age can affect

someone well past childhood and can cause lifelong psychological damage. Research

has shown that being a victim of bullying can lead to longer-term impacts, including

interpersonal violence, substance use, sexual violence, poor social functioning, and

poor performance. The victims aren't the only ones who are affected, a common reason

that a kid is a bully is that he/she lacks attention from a parent at home and lashes out

at others for attention. This can include neglected children, children of divorced parents,

or children with parents under the regular influence of drugs or alcohol. As a result, I

believe that mental health checks for both the victim and the bully are necessary to help

resolve these conflicts.
