Narrative Report on National Simulation


Virtual Kick-off

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is SUCCESS”


With the theme : “Handang Isipi, Handa Bukas” San Roque II Elementary School
Conducted an orientation with the parents and other stakeholders in accordance with the National
Simulation Virtual Kick-off on the preparation for new normal setting such as guidelines,
protocols and different type of learning modalities in terms of educational system on August 11,
2020.
The orientation started with a prayer followed by the national anthem. Mrs. Florida F.
Sumugat, Principal III, gave a welcome address and some safety reminders to follow regarding
social distancing. Helping one another to overcome hindrances and fear is one of the strongest
weapon. Thus, teachers need support and help form the different stakeholders in order to cope
with the new normal setting. With this, Ms. Rosita Gorospe, PTA President, ask the parents to
share their blessings and encourage them to extend their hands.
Ms. Ganie Mae T. Casuncad, Grade 2 Chariman, started the orientation by giving the
information of the school profile. She gives some health protocols to be observe inside the school
premises. No mask, no entry, Social distancing (1meter apart), washing your hands and sanitize
it before entering. Parents should come before time. Giving the total enrollment of grade 2 and
the no. of teachers. Grade 2 have 147 enrolled.
She also discussed the modality of learning to be use during this time of pandemic such
as blended learning, television-based, online learning and modular distance learning. Modular
distance learning is one of the alternative modality for learning. Teachers gives modules to be
used to their homes. Parents are the one who will guide their children. Parents are grouped by 2,
there will be Set A and Set B. Parents will follow their schedule in getting and retrieval of
modules. During this pandemic, parents are encourage to prepare a learning and study room or
space in their homes for the child so they can focus and make them feel they were really in a
class. The giving the materials to be used is also tackled in detailed and every adviser are
encourage to make their own group in messenger and fb group for answering some queries.
The orientation ended well with parents feeling assured that their children will never stop
learning despite of the pandemic that we are all facing. Teachers and Parents agreed that the
schedule of the submission of answered modules and the distribution should be strictly followed.

Parents will provide plastic envelop during the distribution of modules. Also, teachers will give
their Facebook account and contact numbers so that they can asks questions regarding the
activity. Teachers will provide Facebook Group for the learners and Group Chat for the parents.
The school itself cannot do it alone without the stakeholders supporting them. As what our
Department of Education quoted “We are one, “Sama-sama sa Pagsulong ng Edukalidad”.
