You MUST answer the question from Section A, THREE questions from Section B and ONE question from Section C. ‘This paper contains metric dimensions only. You should work your answers in the metric system. SECTION A You are allowed to use EITHER frechand sketches OR ruler-assisted sketches in answering this question, which is based on MODULES D5 to D9 of the syllabus — Walls, Floors, Roofs, Windows, Doors and Stairs. All sketches should be done to proportion. This question is worth 40 marks. You are advised not to spend more than 50 minutes on this question. 1. The staircase has a housed string 50 mm x 300 mm, Risers are 20 mm thick, treads 25 mm thick and handrails are on both sides, ‘The partitions are built of 50 mm x 100 mm members and are cladded on both sides with 12 mm ply. The floor is constructed with 50 mm * 200 mm joists and covered with 19 mm tongue and groove floorboards.
