1. What examples of feminism in pop culture can you think of?
- Examples of feminism in pop culture I recall is first, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex,
Celebrates Women as “Forces for Change” where the Duchess’s guest-edited issue is to be
commended for its assemblage of 15 notable women and girls across ages, races, ethnicities and
nationalities engaging in acts of social and political change. 2nd is where Rihanna Proves That
Inclusivity and Body-Positivity Sells. Proving that all body types can be sexy and beautiful,
Rihanna kept her savvy finger on the pulse of women’s fashions.
2. What makes a piece of pop culture feminist?
- The mass media has a strong impact on pop culture nowadays, and it may alter people's
attitudes on specific themes, such as feminism. Feminist problems become more relevant and
accessible, maybe even popular, as a result of pop culture.
3. How can feminist theory be used to explore contemporary gender roles?
- Many modern feminists are interested in the implications of transnational economic, political,
and cultural ties on gender formation outside of the Philippines.
