FOAN Unit Cards
FOAN Unit Cards
Introduction: FOAN as published did not did not differentiate between the 1967 and 1973 wars. Consequently historical anomalies such
as swarming T34/85 supported by Saggers are possible. The ORBATs as written didn’t reflect equipment and doctrinal differences well;
such as the IDF heavy use of CAS fighters instead of conventional artillery. A few new units were developed to round out actual
capabilities such as transport helicopters that both sides used. In addition three new rules are introduced to reflect the desert – ‘dust
trails’, Interceptor to reflect fighter flights being intercepted, and the Quick reaction close air support the IDF used. This is offset by the
SAM battery provided to Arab forces. These rules reinforce an already great set of rules.
