BALIK SCIENTIST LAW

The Balik Scientist law was signed by President Rodrigo Roa A. Duterte on 15 June 2018.
Filipino scientists, technologists, and experts are encouraged to return to the country and share
their expertise in order to promote scientific, agro-industrial, and economic development. This
law addresses the problem on the low number of scientists in the country so we can fare better
with neighboring countries who have more people working in research and development.
UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE LAW
The Universal Health Care (UHC) Law aims to expand population, service, and financial
coverage through an array of health system amendments. UHC helps ensure every Filipino is
healthy, protected from health hazards and risks, and has access to affordable, quality, and
readily available health service.

BUILD, BUILD, BUILD PROGRAM


The Philippines' infrastructure program aimed to reduce poverty, encourage economic growth
and reduce congestion in Metro Manila. Launched on April 18, 2017, it was a key component of
President Rodrigo Duterte's socioeconomic policy. The program also included the continuation
of 44 infrastructure projects under previous administrations.

R.A No. 1160 of 1954


The Republic Act No. 1160 of 1954 was passed to abolish the Land Settlement and
Development Corporation (LASEDECO) and create the National Resettlement and
Rehabilitation Administration (NRRA) Its main goal was to resettle landless farmers, and aimed
at rebels who returned to provide them with lots for home and farming. This law was enacted
and implemented during the time of President Ramon Magsaysay.

R.A of 1199(Agricultural Tenancy Act of 1954)


R.A. No. 1199 (1954): Agricultural Tenancy Act governed the relationship between landholders
and tenant-farmers. This law was enacted and implemented during the time of President Ramon
Magsaysay. It helped protect the tenure rights of tenant tillers and enforced fair tenancy
practices. It also established the Court of Agricultural Relations to resolve the many land
disputes.

R.A No. 1400 (Land Reform Act of 1955)


The Republic Act No. 1400 - is otherwise known as the Land Reform Act of 1955. This law was
enacted and implemented during the time of President Ramon Magsaysay. It aimed to improve
land tenure and guaranteed the expropriation of all tenanted landed estates.
