The Life and Works of Rizal

Dr. Jose P. Rizal, a prolific Filipino writer who made a greatest landmark in the
Philippine History and considered as the National Hero of the Philippines strongly
believe that Filipino youths are the hope of the nation. His life and his works encourage
many Filipino citizens to continue for striving in shaping each of their own ability to fight,
dignify and sacrifice for our country. As young people, we are bounded by history, which
causes us to reflect on past events that are significant to society and relevant to current
activities in our country.

The story of Rizal is one of the great sources of inspiration to us youths for
remaining to strive and soar in our lives despite of the challenges that we’ve faced. It
helps us not just to stand on our own but also to stand, praise and to fight for true
sovereignty for our country. Additionally, his course of life serves as the foundation of
our strength in dealing with the modernly world challenges, which has been constantly
improving and made different countries globally competitive. Moreover, the relevance of
Jose Rizal’s life is to re-entrust the lives of the youth in the ideals of nationalism and
freedom in a way of acquiring quality education for all and used it in a proper way that
will instill national consciousness, values, attitudes and most importantly the love of our
country and our countrymen.

It is true that Dr. Jose P. Rizal contributed a lot in the Philippine history which
made it relevant in the lives of the Filipino youth today. His art of writing most especially
the “Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo” brought so much importance in the lives of
many Filipinos. These two masterpieces depicts on how we act and what to believe for
our country, promote nationalism, accept the changes in ourselves and by that to love
and to appreciate one’s language for it is the way to connect and understand better with
people.
