Remove the power steering belt

Remove the air-conditioning drive belt
Remove the alternator belt
Remove the coolant pump pulley
Remove the crankshaft pulley
Remove the timing belt cover

Loosen the tensioner

Push the tensioner pulley away from the timing belt

Remove the timing belt

Check the gearwheels, tensioner and idler pulley(s) for damage and wear

Turn the crankshaft to TDC for cylinder 1

Align the timing marks

Loosen the tensioner

Tighten the tensioner

Fit the timing belt anti-clockwise, starting at the crankshaft gearwheel

Tighten the tensioner (20 - 27 Nm)
Check the timing belt tension
Turn the crankshaft clockwise 2 rotations
Check the timing marks
Check the timing belt tension

Fit the timing belt cover (10 Nm)

Refit the crankshaft pulley (140 - 150 Nm)

Refit the coolant pump pulley
Fit the alternator drive belt
Refit the air-conditioning drive belt
Refit the power steering pump belt
Refit the engine support bracket (1 45 - 55 Nm)

Remove the jack

Reconnect the battery

Torque settings
Crankshaft pulley: (140 - 150 Nm)
Coolant pump pulley: (8 - 10 Nm)
Timing cover (8 - 10 Nm)
Tensioner: (20 - 27 Nm)
Engine support bracket: (45 - 55 Nm)
