MEDICAL SPECIALTIES

I’m just a first-year student at medical school, but I

would like to be a pediatrician. I think I’m suitable
for this specialty because I like children so I would
like to work with them. Pediatricians play an
important role in the health and wellbeing of
children. Kids are too young to cooperate in the
medical examination, so they can’t always
express their needs or feelings. It is very
difficult for the pediatrician to grasp the
patient’s psychology. Children may sometimes
have negative attitudes such as crying or
panicking. I don’t think that would be a problem
for me, I think I’m good at working with kids
and making them feel comfortable.
