CASE 3

This case was talking about a business called Churros Columbia owned by Rayyan Dirgantara.
The problems in this case are about the situation among the employees and the stolen money.

Questions

1. What caused Salman’s rude behaviour towards Kevin and the business?
2. How can Rayyan prevent those situation to not happen again?
3. What is/are the effect(s) of Salman’s behaviour to the Churros Columbia?

Answers

1. Salman is Kevin’s brother in law and he is older than Kevin. The age difference is what
make Salman able to give orders to Kevin like he is the boss to Kevin. The situation there
also give the chance to Salman to commit fraud or in this case is to steal the money. It
happened because there is a lack of control from Rayyan as the owner, so Salman can do
whatever he wants to do in Churros Columbia as he is the oldest and has more power
than Kevin.
2. As the owner Rayyan can be more selective to hire his employee. He can do:
 Background check before accepting employee.
 Create a trial system to check the employees’ behaviour, especially their integrity.
 Implementing values to how he run his business and to his employees.
3. If Salman keeps being bossy to Kevin and stealing money, eventually the business will
going to loss. The situation and environment at Churros Columbia, itself, already make
Kevin uncomfortable, and if it continue to happen, it can affect their customers. The
money Salman’s stole everyday can cause a huge loss for Rayyan as the owner as Salman
steal not just a small amount of money from Churros Columbia and if it continues to
happen, Rayyan can get bankrupt.
