My Family

Today, I will tell you about my family. First I want to introduce my dad. He was born
in Jakarta, August 17th 1970. What’s special about his birthday is that he has the same
birthday as Indonesian Independence Day, so we always celebrate his birthday like we
celebrate Independence Day. He works in an electrical engineering components factory. Then
he met my mom, who was born in Klaten, April 12th 1973. They work in the same place, and
got married in October 2000. I am the first child and have two siblings, which is 1 brother
and 1 sister. My mother resigned from her office not long after my sister was born. She is a
housewife now.
My brother is a high school student. He went to SMAN 14 Jakarta. My sister is a
junior highschool student. She went to SMPN 150 Jakarta. Both of my siblings are so smart
and diligent. Beside school, they also helped my mom with the household chores. I am so
proud of them. My grandparents, both from my dad and my mom are all gone. But I still
remember them as it was yesterday. My grandparents from my dad's side of the family live in
Depok. They are running a stationery shop near Cimanggis Square. While my grandparents
from my mom’s side of the family live in Klaten. They are running a little grocery store in
their house. I love visiting them because they are all so kind. They care about us–the
grandchildren– as they always give us money everytime we visit them, hehe. That’s all about
