Manoeuvres

1. The handling of the Seawater Lift Pump is designed taking into account that the transport
will be on the Cable Deck
2. A monorail above the each Seawater Lift Pumps will be designed for these Manoeuvres.
3. From the self-propelled platforms, first install the monorail trolley using a dedicated padeye
and a chain on lever pulley. Remove the installed stopper guide, lift and slide the monorail
trolley into the monorail beam.
4. Lift the pipe spool above the pump and move to the storage are considered for this closed
to pit. To access the pump, the spools must first be removed from inside the caisson
following the same steps as for removing the pump itself.
5. To avoid damage, flexible steel slings could be used.
6. Using the lifting points, hook the pumps. (Picture 1. Step 1)
7. Adjust tension to fit pump weight and remove the bolts

8. Lift the pump section until it comes completely out of the Caisson. (Picture 1. Step 2)
9. The monorail will be able to move the Pump to the close hatch, which will communicate
with the Cable Deck (Picture 1. Step 3)
10. Down the Pump until support completely on the Cable Deck. (Picture 1. Step 4)
11. Once the pump is on the cable deck (in vertical position) it will be attached with a sling at
the bottom of it and helped by a hoist installed on the monorail designed for the other pump
installed in the same pit
12. Rotate the pump until it is placed in a horizontal position on a support. The sling/chain shall
be routed through a temporary guide which shall be placed on the border of the hatch In
order to prevent damage. (Picture 2. Step 5 & 6)
13. Move the pump to the Laydown Area. These can be stored in the designated laydown area

while maintenance task are being carried out on the pump

14. A Gantry crane will be used to lift pumps and pipes over storage structure (Picture 3)
15. From the laydown area, if necessary, the elements can be taken to the cantilever designed,
where the vessel crane has access. From there it can be transported to the laydown area
on the upper decks.
16. In case of mounting the pump, carefully lower the pump down into the well and place it on
the pair of supporting clamps. (See Picture 5 & 8)
17. Remove the mounting plate and fasten it to the second riser. (See Picture 7)
18. Lift up the second riser and lower it down until it is positioned just above the pump set.
Insert the sealing element into the gap between the flanges. Lower the riser, bolt the
flanges together.
19. Fit the centring device.
20. Fit the cable holders.
21. Fasten power cables, sensor cable external earth conductor and motor filler hose with the
cable holders.
22. Installing the other risers mount the holders.
23. Mount the centering devices in accordance with the installation plan/ GA drawing and lower
the pump set into the well.
24. Repeat the steps until all riser pipes have been installed.
25. Mount the wellhead on the last riser observing the relevant documentation.
26. Loop the extra length around the top riser.
27. Slightly lift up the pump, remove the supporting clamp and carefully lower the pump into the
well.
28. At a suitable height, carefully insert the power and sensor cables into the cable glands and
tighten the clamping screws.

SWLP Transport route (Picture 8)

To transport along the cable deck and/or in case it has to be moved for any repairs to an
onshore workshop, a special support will be designed to allow this operation
to be carried out.

Similarly, for the storage of riser sections during pump maintenance, a structure will be
considered on the cable deck to allow the pipes to be stored on top of each
other. In order to perform this task of placing one pipe on top of another, a
portable gantry crane with sufficient height and spam will be used
