population lives; in this report, we will discuss how to mitigate this social problem, through
community gardens, suburban farms and collaborations between home garden vegetables and
local food banks can help solve us the access to food that the country is experiencing.
In order to combat this, a proposal has been developed so that, together with the collaboration of
state entities, a better quality of life can be provided to low-income people who cannot maintain a
proper and dignified diet, affecting their health.
The proposal is based on the creation of community gardens and suburban farms. They are based
on the self-sufficiency of families to be able to have a firm production of various foods such as
fruits, vegetables, legumes, etc., which guarantee a healthy diet. Usually, the people who suffer
from this problem are located in rural areas, so, by asking for their authorization, the government
could allocate part of these lands to the farm projects. Likewise, they would also be given
indications of how the different crops to be used for food production should be treated, so that,
progressively and in an orderly manner, a local food bank could even be created.
