What course do you intend to study (and university choices) NAME: Zayyan Mohamed

Finance and accounting at King College London or Queen mary university

2. Identify any wider reading you have conducted or lectures you have attended.

3. What, according to you, are your skills and strengths in Maths

My strengths and skills include working with graphs and visualising concepts and models such as exponential
modelling

4. Concepts you have found interesting in the course

i have found quadratic modelling interesting and i have also found constant acceleration in mechanics very
interesting due to the fact that the theory applies to real life

5. Your best pieces of work this year (this can potentially be a non-tested piece of work)

my best non tested piece of work has been my poster on the real life applications of quadratics as it was an
in depth insight of how parabolas can be seen in real life such as construction of bridges and sports

6. Challenges you have overcome.

I have overcome challenges in challenging topics such as vectors where i perceived through consistent
practise and perseverance and hard work even when a topic gets difficult and hard to understand

7. If applicable: pick some idea in the Maths specification that goes somewhat beyond the specification that
you're interested in and relates it to something you're bothered about. (For example: How methods to
approximate answers leave room for error but finding exact answers might be impossible and having to deal
with accuracy errors in real life and the challenges/opportunities it presents)
