If any setpoire i exceeded, the meter goes into an alarm condition (refer to option "C* 3.1.1 Non volatile Memory Al meters feature a nen volatile memory, in addition to.a temporary memory. The non volatte memory is maintained even when power to the meter is off The temporary memory is Used during the Setup Mode to store selected values unti they are transferred ta non wlatile mnemory afte exiting the Setup Made. This feature makes itunnecessary to reprogram the meter each tme itis turned on 3.1.2 Max. To reset Max,, press and hold the 2 key, then press “S" key, Release ‘S" key and then the @& key. The ‘negative ful scale value will fasi on the display, followed by the present reading 3.1.3 Tare Feature ‘The tare function of the DPM-2 2606 tho display and stores the value in non volatile memory. This is dons either Inthe setup mode or while the desired value ion the Wisplay. Set the tare value in the run Mode by pressing te “© Koy for one second, then release the ~w key. The Gisplay wil fiash "tArE* and the display will change to zero, The tare value is stored in the non volatile memory. ‘The tare value can be cleared by the front panel. To clear tare, press and hold the the im key, then press the the “WF key. Release both keys and the diepiay will flash “CLEA and then return to the normal run mode. The tare value can be viewed and altered in the setup mode. 3.2 Setup Mode Uae the setup mode to select setpoint values, hysteresis, offset and scale values, a8 well as setting the decimal point (AP) positian. During Setup, values are entered into the meter’s temparary memory until the Fun Mods is entered at the end of the Setup cycle. At that time, temporary mernory iS transferred to non volatile memory IMPORTANT (1) Two-Minute Entry Time: During Setup, the meter allows ONLY 2 MINUTES between keystrokes to enter or change parameter. If'2 minutes lapse without a keystroke, the meter automatically returns to the Run ode and erases any temporary memory without changing non volatile memory, (2) Change setting in non volatile memory: [After entering the Setup mode, press. “S" Key until you Come to the function you want to change, [After changing the setup entry, press "5" key again until the “run” prompt is displayed. The new value is entered into non volatile memory when the display goes blank. OPERATION -10 32 Satup Made 2.2 Setup Mode 3.2.1 Key Functions ‘The keys on the front panel are used ta step through the Setup Pragram. The Setup Program is used to program setpaints and select values such as scale, offset, and hysteresis, There are 3 keys on the front panel: s Used to enter Setup Mode, to scroll through setup prompts, or to enter a selection or value into temporary mamary, ~ Used to increase a displayed value, Prass and hold this key to rapidly increase tne displayed value, Sd Used to decrease a displayed value, Press and hold this Key to rapidly decrease the displayed valve, 3.22 Setup Prompts: ‘The following Setup Prompts appear in the display during the Setup Mode: SETUP This prompttelis you to enter the lockaut code (28) to enter the Setup Mode. Input This prompt is followed by the actual input reading, disregarding scale, offset, and decimal point location. SP 1H This prompt, which is followed by the present setting, tells you to select the High Litt value of setpoint 1 (SP1H). SP1H is. low setpoint for postive cisplay reading. SP1L This prompt, which is followed by the present setting, tells you to select the Low Limit value of setpoint 1 (SP1L). SPIL is a low setpoint for a negative display reading SP 2H This prompt, which is followed by the present setting, tells you to select the High Limit value of setpoint 2 (SP2H), SP2H is @ high setpoint fora positive display neacing SP2L This prompt, wich is followed by the present setting, tells you to enter the Low Limit value of setpoint 2 (SP2L). SPAL is a high setpoint for a negative display reading. YS ‘This prompt, which is followed by the present setting, tells you to select the Hysteresis: (deadband) value. This is 4 number to be added to a tow limit value or subtracted from a high limit value before an alarm condition is canceled, and is common to both setpoints. OFFSE This prompt, which is follawed by the present setting, tells you to gelect the Display Offset Valve, (afer to Section 3.4) SCALE This prompt, which is fovowred by the present value, tells youto solect the Display Scale Factor. (refer to Section 3.4}. The scale factor vaiue can be found on all of TTY load cel calibration certificates, Uwe This prompt, which is followed by the present value, telis you the present tare value. This value can be modified or lettintact by pressing the "S" kay ap This prompt tells yau to select the decimal point position mun ‘This prompt tells yau that the Setup Moda is complete. Any values selected in the Setup Made ae transferred to non volatile memory when the meter returns to the lun Mode. $2.3 Sample Setup Program ‘The follawing example shows the Setup Program for a meter with Scale and Ottset capabilities, REMEMBER: Thre Front Panel Keys: ‘s key is to start Setup, scroll through Setup entries, and save changes in temporary memory. oy Is to increase a displayed vaive; and ~ ~ key isto decrease a displayed value OPERATION - 11, 3.3 Digital Offset and Scale 3.3 Digital Offset and Scale Setup Sequence: 1.
