Community Service: “Making Strides of Los Angeles” by American Cancer Society

Since 1993, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® (MSABC)
campaign has united communities, companies, and individuals with a collective goal to end
breast cancer. Over the past two decades, the 5K noncompetitive walks have collectively grown
into the nation’s largest and most impactful breast cancer movement providing a supportive
community for courageous breast cancer survivors and metastatic breast cancer thrivers,
including caregivers, and families alike.

This year, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer celebrates its 30th anniversary. This took place
in more than 150 communities nationwide. I joined the Making Strides movement on October
17, 2022, Saturday with my team members to help and support the event. The event was in
Grand Park Los Angeles.

Me and my team member to hand out the T-shirts to people who join the support 5K.

It was a big event that LA downtown was blocked for several hours for MSABC! Grand Park LA
is right in front of the LA city hall.

It was great to help the event and happy to join the 5K walking with my friends. There was pink
wave all around the park and the street for several hours. Great time to be “Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer”!
