What is ballroom Dancing. What is the importance of learning it?

 Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively
around the world, mostly because of its performance and entertainment aspects. Ballroom
dancing is also widely enjoyed on stage, film, and television. The importance of learning
ballroom dance is to exercise our body, strengthen and express emotions while having fun.

In learning ballroom dancing why do we need to know the symbols, abbreviations, Line of dance and
dance terminologies used in ballroom dancing? (Explain Each)

 Because if we don't know it are we good to off beat and we can't come up to our partners.

Why do we need to use the language of Ballroom Dancing?

 Dance involves learning languages and developing meaning and communication through
movement

What are the importance of the roles in Leading and following techniques?

 The basic rules and etiquette on the dance floor comes down to leading and following and it's
important to know that whichever role you choose, you have your own specific tasks on the
dance floor. The leader keeps time and suggests, through his/her lead, the figures that will be
executed in a dance.

What are the benefits of dancing ballroom dance?

 It can decrease blood pressure and cholesterol, improve cardiovascular health, strengthen
weight-bearing bones, help prevent or slow bone loss related to osteoporosis, lower the risks of
obesity and Type 2 Diabetes, and promote increased lung capacity.
