NET A two-dimensional pattern that can be folded


up into a three-dimensional figure.
Three-dimensional shape A solid that has a length, a width, and a
height.
Density The mass per unit volume.

Area The amount of 2-dimensional space an object


takes up.
Volume It is the amount of 3-dimensional space an
object takes up.
Surface area The sum of the faces of a solid.

Square A parallelogram that has four congruent sides


and four right angles.
Solid A solid is a three-dimensional figure.

Prism A type of polyhedron with bases that are


congruent and parallel to each other and
with sides that are parallelograms
Cylinder Is a three-dimensional figure that has two
congruent parallel bases that are circles.
Pyramid A three-dimensional figure that has a
polygonal base and with triangular sides that
interact at an apex.
Cone A three-dimensional figure with one circular
base.
Sphere A three-dimensional figure where every point
on the surface is equidistant from the center
of the sphere.
