Part 1: Calibration Curves

We finished this step but unfortunately our lab data is saved to the computer in class, so we were not able to
Do this step from home, we will submit them next lab period.

Part 2: Summary Questions

1.
From your chosen product, what colors are being absorbed? What wavelengths do they correlate to?
Absorbing red and blue. They correlate to 500 and 630 nm for the wavelengths.

2.
Using your data, what dyes can you prove are present?
Blue and red.

3.
What are the concentrations of the dyes in your product? Show a sample calculation

The concentrations of dyes in our products are:

Blue:.0000036M
Red:.0000403 M

We found this by calculating using the formula: M1*V1=M2*V2

For example: one calculation was:

(4.03*10^-5) * (4) / 8, which found out the molarity of a solution with a volume of 8.
