Does anyone even appreciate how unlikely it is for humans to exist? First off, the universe had to exist in the first place, which is wildly unlikely. The components of quarks and electrons in space had to match up just perfectly to form elements and gas, gas that became stars, stars that burned for billions of years. Stars alone aren't habitable, there had to be planets around them, and only a very small percentage of stars even have a chance of having planets around them. But yet, ours did. If it wasn't for another planet crashing into ours, we wouldn't have the moon, which is a big reason for life on Earth. If some random asteroids didn't crash down on here, we wouldn't have water, or life. That life could have fizzled out extremely quickly, but it didn't, it persisted. It prospered. And through the whack ass Rules of evolution, we came to be, despite everything that happened and everything that could have easily gone very wrong. Where does that leave us now? At that fucking image.
