ACTIVITY 1

Complete the following statements:


1. I think girls are: more organize than boys.
2. I think boys are: more stronger than girls.
3. I think girls should: wear girls clothes and use products like makeups etc, or they
can wear or use whatever they like because its their choice.
4. I think boys should: do whatever they want or like, we cannot force them to do
the things that they don’t want to do or like.
5. Society thinks that girls should: wear decent clothes to avoid “pambabastos”.
6. Society thinks that boys should: be the one who protects girl, and do the physical
works because society thinks that boys are stonger than girls.

ACTIVITY 2

How does your society or culture teach you to think, feel, and act based on your
gender? How is it limiting? How is it liberating?

-in our society or culture as a muslim, boys should treat the girls with dignity and
respect and girls should be conservative they should wear their combongs or wear
long sleeves and pants to cover their skin because it’s a sin when you don’t follow
the rules of islam, and also being a homosexual is not being tolerated in our society
or culture.
ACTIVITY 3

Discuss among yourselves what is expected of girls and boys in the following
institutions:

1. Your school (high school or college): in high school or college girls and boys has
gender equality everyone can be a leader.
2. Your household: in household girls are expected to to the laundries, cooking,
cleaning etc while the boys are expected to do the physical works like driving,
carrying the heavy things in house etc.
3. Your church or masjid: in masjid boys and girls are being separated and its not
allowed that boys and girls should see each other and also boys should lead in
masjid.
