FEMINISM

Feminism advocates the equal rights and opportunities given to both man and
woman. The advocacy was formed because of numerous instances where women
tends to be inferior to man in all aspects which causes men to impel their dominance
towards women resulting to degradation of femininity. Gender should neither be a factor
nor basis since women can do what men can do.

In the present, feminism is still an issue and a lot of people are still arguing about
it. They are threatened and think that feminism means the dominance of woman, where
they control the world and will discredit manhood. It is feared that woman will eventually
fall-out from the authority, power, and influence of man. Politically viewed, the present
Vice President, Leni Robredo is being criticized and judged to be incompetent although
she already proved her competence and excellence, mainly because of the unusual
trend of females’ capacity and success to lead in the field of politics. In addition, some
religion does not promote female leadership, not because men are superior but
because their belief requires women to be submissive.

Feminism does not mean that woman will be superior to man, but rather, woman
will be treated equally and would be given the same rights and opportunities as man.
Women would be acknowledged that they could do what men can do in almost all
aspects - in leadership, work, among others. Woman are naturally rational as man. So
to speak, opportunities, and privileges, as well as accomplishments and achievements
speaks no gender.
