 Information or Intelligence – Data sent by the sender.

 Transmitter (TX) - This is a device that converts the signal produced by a source into a form
suitable for transmission over a particular channel or medium. Modulation is the main
function of transmitters.

 Communication channel or medium - It is the medium through which the signal is

transmitted. Communication channels fall into two categories in his: Wired and wireless.

 Noise - It is an undesirable sign that enters the conversation gadget via the conversation
channel and interferes with the transmitted sign.
  Receiver (RX) - A device that receives a signal from a channel and converts the signal back to
its original form.

 Recovered Information or Intelligence – Data received from the receiver.

B.) Solve two (2) of the given problems below. The first letter of your last name will be the basis

1. Calculate the wavelength of a waveform given a period of 17μs.

2. Given a dc bias of 0.5mA and a bandwidth of 10 kHz, calculate for the noise current.
