1. In this case of Mrs. Dela Cruz, the physical aspect is revealed since she had
hypertension or high blood pressure. Our energy depletes as we grow older and
older and if you have an unhealthy lifestyle it makes our energy diminish faster. I
think Mrs. Dela Cruz’s situation is very unhealthy for her age and she should start
having a healthier lifestyle by eating more nutritious foods and have enough
sleeping hours. Another aspect of development is the intellectual development
since she developed anxiety disorders and depression, she already knew the
problems that she is experiencing within herself. Also, she knows how to deal
with her mental problems by seeking out professional help.

2. The characteristic of development that describes Mrs. Dela Cruz’s situation is

multidirectional. Her physical and intellectual aspect increases but her physical
aspect is negatively increasing because her body is deteriorating and the body’s
deterioration is still a part of the development of the physical aspect.
Multidirectional means that if an aspect is increasing then other aspects will
decrease. Mrs. Dela Cruz’s physical and intellectual aspect increased while her
social and emotional aspects decreased due to her anxiety and depression
disorders.
