Socialist. German/East German. Poor Family

3.) What was the main reason he was shipped to the Western side of the border? Did this change
his nationality as a German?

He was send into an in an aide-de-camp in West Germany to spy on General Edel who is
working with the Americans and also to gather intelligence. No it did not change his nationality.

4.) If you were on Martin’s situation, would you be willing to lay down your life in order to ensure
that your country be free from certain disaster or doom, or would you choose not to? Why or
why not?

I’d be willing to lay down my life for my country as I love my country even though we don’t get
along, and I would love to see in the future that our country and people is still existing and
getting along.
