CRIM 4
BS – CRIMINOLOGY Performance Task 3

1. Ethics is a set of moral ideals that distinguishes guidelines for action based on one's or a
group's perceptions of what is good and bad. Police ethics are the principles of conduct
that guide officers based on what society considers to be right and what's wrong. The
importance of law enforcement ethics cannot be overstated. The public trusts law
enforcement agencies to carry out their duties in a responsible, ethical, and effective
manner. This is critical for effective crime control and community policing.
2. . They realized that taking bribes and turning a blind eye to illicit operations would earn
them more money than a low salary. One of the most serious problems that any police
department faces is corruption. They have been entrusted with the population's well-
being, but instead of safeguarding them, they have turned into their victims.
b. Give PNP organization a good salary, their job is not easy, all the trainings and hard
work that they overcome, is a worthy salary. That’s why I think that’s the solution for
them to minimize the reason of them in the involvement of wrong doings.
