baron Ignaz von Fricken, flautista aficionado y autor
de un Tema y Variaciones para Solo de Flauta, del
cual envio un arreglo para piano a Schumann,
pidiendole su opinion. A partir del tema Shumann
creo una serie de variaciones de gran planteamiento
formal dado el caracter orquestal de su estilo
pianistico deslumbrante y profundo. Los estudios
recorren toda la gama de estados animicos por
medio de elementos armonicos, melddicos y ritmicos
muy conseguidos. Los momentos poéticos se
alternan con las turbulencias agitadas. El genio de
Schumann se mide en esta obra con ventaja al Liszt
de los Estudios de ejecucion trascendental y al
Chopin de los Estudios, opus 25.G
