Facts/Premises:  Law is defined as an ordinance of reason, promulgated by


one who has charge of the community for the common good (Summa
Theologiae of St. Thomas Aquinas).

In Ethics, there are three (3) kinds of laws: Eternal; Natural; and
Positive (Fundamental of Ethics by Emerita S. Quito).

1) Explain Eternal Law and provide example. (10 pts)

2) Expound Natural Law with example. (10 pts)

3) Define Positive Law with example. (10 pts)

4) Based on the above definition of St. Thomas, what are the four (4) elements
of law and explain each. (40 pts [10 pts per element])

5) Explain Synderesis. (10 pts)

6) Explain tabula rasa. (10 pts)

7) Explain ignorance and how does it absolves you from any responsibility. (10
pts)
